Nilinaw ni Senate President Pro Tempore at Senate blue ribbon committee chairman Panfilo “Ping” Lacson na hindi pa clear sina Sens. Jinggoy Estrada at Joel Villanueva sa mga isyu ng budget insertion kaugnay sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
Sa isang tugon sa isang post sa X (dating Twitter) Huwebes ng gabi, nilinaw ni Lacson na ang ginawang pagharap ng dalawang senador sa mga nag-aakusa sa kanila ay hindi nangangahulugan na sila ay malinis na.
“By any measure, Senators Villanueva and Estrada have not been cleared, at least on the issue of budget insertions involving infrastructure projects in Bulacan worth P600-M and P355-M respectively, as alleged by Engr. Brice Hernandez,”ani Lacson.
Sinabi ni Lacson sa pagdinig ng Senado noong Huwebes na P600 milyon para sa flood control projects sa Bulacan ang nakita sa Unprogrammed Fund sa ilalim ng 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA), na naunang iniugnay ni Hernandez kay Villanueva.
“By any measure, Senators Villanueva and Estrada have not been cleared, at least on the issue of budget insertions involving infrastructure projects in Bulacan worth P600-M and P355-M respectively, as alleged by Engr. Brice Hernandez,”ani Lacson.
Sinabi ni Lacson sa pagdinig ng Senado noong Huwebes na P600 milyon para sa flood control projects sa Bulacan ang nakita sa Unprogrammed Fund sa ilalim ng 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA), na naunang iniugnay ni Hernandez kay Villanueva.
Samantala, sinabi ni Lacson na nakita ng kanyang tanggapan sa regular na badyet ng 2025 GAA ang P355 milyon sa mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura sa Bulacan na iniugnay ni Hernandez kay Estrada.
Itinanggi rin ni Estrada ang mga paratang.
Nauna ng pumayag sina Villanueva at Estrada ng kanilang pagpayag na pumirma ng waiver para mabuksan ang kanilang mga bank account para masuri sa gitna ng imbestigasyon.
Sa hiwalay na post sa X, sinabi ni Lacson na pinayagan niya ang dalawang senador na makilahok sa pagdinig ng Blue Ribbon committee upang makompronta ang mga nag-aakusa sa kanila.
“It is a person’s basic right to confront his accuser. In case you didn’t notice, I didn’t clear the two senators on the issue of budget insertions [because] the budget books validate Brice Hernandez’s allegations based on my own staff’s research, at least in the case of Sen Estrada,” sabi ni Lacson.
“Every person, ordinary or senator, has equal rights. I actually consulted my legal staff before making that decision to allow them. On the other hand, the two senators have not been cleared of the budget insertions under the 2023 and 2025 GAA’s. I made that very clear today,” dagdag ni Lacson.
