Dapat umanong bago mag-Pasko ay naipamahagi na ng mga employers ang 13th month pay ng kanilang mga empleyado, na siyang legally mandated deadline nito.
Paalala ni Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, ang naturang benepisyo ay nire-required na maibigay sa mga empleyado sa ilalim ng Labor Code of the Philippines at Presidential Decree 851.
Dagdag pa niya, tiyak na matutuwa ang mga empleyado kung maagang matatanggap ang naturang benepisyo.
“Just to reiterate my earlier message and appeal for all employers to pay the 13th month of their employees on the deadline set by law which is Dec. 24,” aniya.
